Software Sales Executive – USA

GLAMS (Global Artwork Management System), Perigord's innovative proprietary software, is a web based Life Science artwork management solution, developed and designed to control and manage artwork within Life Science Industries. GLAMS modular system connects all the stakeholders in a customer’s artwork production process including new products, engineering, purchasing, marketing and external contract vendors.


Reporting to the Global Business Development Director,  the Software Sales Execuitve will be an integral part of the global sales team and a driving force in developing and closing new business and helping to deliver the future success of the company, with specific responsibility for the US market.


Key Responsibilities


  • Build and develop new business within the target market area to achieve short, medium and long term revenue targets for the business
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and maintain sales forecasts
  • Play a front line role in customer-facing activities to negotiate and close major contracts
  • Proactively manage several sales opportunities simultaneously
  • Play a lead role in developing C-level contacts / decision makers in major customers to drive market traction
  • Lead the preparation of RFP’s, develop and maintain sales forecasts
  • Conduct well thought out relevant presentations to prospective clients
  • Contribute to establishing world-class sales processes (forecasting, pipeline management, territory management, account planning etc. ) to provide a solid platform to support the growth of the sales organization
  • Contribute to a positive and high-performing culture in the team
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
  • Maintain all sales pipeline data up to date, presenting sales stats at regular sales conference calls with global sales team
  • Provide advice and insights to senior management on expansion from immediate target market area to develop the business further


Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years successful software sales experience – ideally SAAS
  • Pharma industry experience essential
  • Previous experience of working in a structured sales environment
  • Agility to work in a fast growing organisation
  • Confident meeting prospective clients and presenting to them with a client-service oriented mindset
  • Ability, confidence and motivation to work independently and remotely, as well as engaging with other members of the team and other global offices
  • Good understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • A demonstrable record  of selling solutions to mid-level accounts with a focus on the business rather than selling into IT
  • A strong stable track record of target vs achievements
  • Must be willing to travel as required to meet clients, make presentations, attend industry events, trade shows and other travel as required
  • Proven experience in driving XXXX value software deals managing multiple stakeholders
Experience of working across multiple states in USA as well as within a global environment
