Perigord announces the release of GLAMS CMO

Thursday, February 14, 2019

Simplify your artwork process, get closer to your customers and strengthen compliance.

Global Life Science technology company Perigord has just released GLAMS CMO, the latest product in its suite of dedicated Life Science Workflow Management Solutions.

GLAMS CMO is a purpose-built artwork process management system designed specifically for Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs). GLAMS CMO demystifies and simplifies the artwork process, a highly regulated and compliance-driven function within the packaging supply chain. It provides a portal for CMO clients to view and approve artwork in real-time, strengthening client relationships, it provides a solid link between the CMO and their Pharma clients!

“We are enormously proud of our latest product and its ability to improve CMOs ability to manage their artwork processes, create a business advantage, gaining an edge in an increasingly competitive market,” said Perigord CEO, Alan Leamy.

With shortening lead times and two-thirds of pharmaceutical manufacturing now being outsourced, CMOs need to have in place a best in class automated management system that underscores their ability to meet the demands of this highly regulated industry. Validated by the world’s leading life science businesses the GLAMS platform creates a vital bridge between CMOs and large pharma delivering a real competitive advantage.

GLAMS CMO leverages the power of Perigord Data’s proprietary global labelling artwork management platform, the world’s only dedicated workflow management system specifically designed for the life science industry.

“Patient safety and process optimisation are at the core of everything we do. Our clients trust us to deliver this into the supply chain. The success of GLAMS allows us to walk into any pharmaceutical company in the world and know that we can add value from the very first meeting,” explained Mr Leamy.

Embracing digital supply chain technology for competitive advantage

Few CMOs have unlocked the potential of digital technologies; however, those that have reported a significant increase in productivity and client satisfaction.

“The pharma industry is consistently managing complex changing regulations that impact how CMOs manage their products,” explained Suzanne Ivory, Perigord Data Chief Operating Officer (COO).

“Pharma companies frequently operate on many fronts simultaneously, investing in product development, launching into new markets while trying to manage existing projects. Outsourcing offers a means for companies to insulate themselves from these pressures, shifting the responsibility of project success to the CMO. Managing risk is a key driver in the decision of what and to whom projects are outsourced, GLAMS CMO is a risk mitigation platform that allows big pharma maintain full project oversight on what and how their CMOs are managing the packaging and artwork process.”

GLAMS CMO is a fully secure system which allows for the end to end management of the artwork function, and provides a secure repository of all artwork, manages approvals and facilitates a full audit trail of all interactions and signoffs carried out during the artwork process.

GLAMS Q offers emerging & small highly regulated Life Science businesses the edge on managing their labelling & artwork process.

Tuesday, November 27, 2018

Risk in the Life Science supply chain is inevitable.

It’s not a matter of if your company is going to manage risk, it’s a matter of how, and more importantly, how well.

In terms of potential risk, the packaging and labelling process is one of the most vulnerable elements of a product’s life cycle. The risks, ranging from incorrect or incomplete product information to translation errors or incorrect specifications and versions being used, all share the human element as the consistent point of failure.

Any of these issues can lead to a regulatory breach, a delay in getting a product to market, a recall, or even a critical consequence for the patient. And while the packaging process is designed to identify, eliminate, and correct any potential issues, it is itself subject to the law of unintended consequences, meaning the process itself could cause new defects to be created.

Facing into this scenario, emerging & small pharma businesses looking either to enter the space or continue to flourish in it, need to seize upon any advantage they can get.

“The challenges small pharma companies are facing are clear but daunting,” explained Perigord’s Chief Operations Officer, Suzanne Ivory.

“Foremost amongst them are deciding what processes to put in place; how to meet evolving validation and compliance requirements; and ensuring pharma packaging regulations are adhered to, and will continue to be met in the future. Managing these factors effectively and improving efficiencies can give companies a competitive edge.”

GLAMS Q can provide that edge.

Introducing the latest addition to the Perigord stable of artwork management solutions

GLAMS Q was specifically built for smaller pharma businesses offering them a solution, validated from day 1, it offers a streamlined solution for getting a company’s packaging process up-and-running with minimum effort and maximum effect.

A proven, cost-effective solution, GLAMS Q is designed specifically to allow users take control of their pharma labelling and artwork management process. The platform provides all the tools required to ensure full compliance with industry regulations and a quick and easy path to adapting the system to constantly shifting regulatory requirements.

GLAMS Q is a secure, fully validated system and the only labelling and artwork management system on the market developed specifically for the Life Sciences industry.

Helping to significantly reduce rework requirements – and therefore reducing overall time-to-market.

GLAMS Q provides users a complete suite of text and graphics comparison tools to complete all their proofreading and quality checks in one place. The tools also allow users to directly annotate artworks and collaborate with others to identify and eliminate errors completely.

Further efficiencies come from quick task assignment, best practice workflows and clear approval stages. GLAMS Q reduces the time and effort spent on tracking sign-off sheets, trawling through emails, searching for master files and interpreting clunky Excel-based trackers.

GLAMS Q offers a lightweight installation process with heavyweight functionality. There are no lengthy install procedures or complex system implementation requirements. The platform comes pre-configured with an two industry best practice workflows allowing users to hit the ground running.

There is also a clearly defined path to progress any instance of GLAMS Q to GLAMS Enterprise, Perigord’s flagship LAMS, so as organisations grow in size and complexity, the platform provides a stable base to keep packaging processes efficient and compliant.

To Celebrate the launch of GLAMS Q, Perigord will be hosting an informative webinar on Thursday 6th of December for Small Businesses entitled “How to Optimise Your Labelling & Artwork Process with Ease”

Dublin, Ireland, August 10th, 2017. Perigord, a Dublin based company specialised in artwork solutions for the pharma and life science industries, recorded 100% growth last year in its software division. In 2017, the company is on track to exceed this figure and the BDO Development Capital Fund supports this growth with an investment of €3 million. This will bring the total investment to €5.4 million, since the first input made by the Fund in February 2016.

With two complementary divisions and a global office network in Europe, USA and Asia, Perigord will use the investment to facilitate international growth of their software product, GLAMS (Global Artwork Management System), as well as continue their supply of precision global artwork services to pharmaceutical and life science companies worldwide.

Alan Leamy, CEO of Perigord, has ambitious plans for scaling the business and the recent investment will help the company to realise these goals. Perigord’s latest software is setting the global standard for management of artwork in the heavily regulated pharma and life science sectors.

Perigord currently have over 250 staff worldwide with centres in Europe, Asia and the USA, and their customer base has expanded to include nine of the world's top ten pharmaceutical companies.

Alan Leamy commented on the recent investment: “BDO Development Capital Fund’s investment has presented the company with a great opportunity to grow on a global scale. It will allow Perigord to service the rapidly expanding life sciences sector as it goes through significant changes and growth in the coming 5-year period. With this investment and the recent upsurge in demand for the product, Perigord are poised to unlock this growth and position itself as the dominant player in this heavily regulated sector.”

Sinead Heaney, Investment Director at the BDO Development Capital Fund, is delighted to be supporting Perigord at such a pivotal time: “The BDO Development Capital Fund supports businesses which demonstrate the ambition, capability and strategy to deliver global expansion and achieve market leading positions. This follow-on investment demonstrates how much potential we see for Perigord moving forward. They have the ambition, capability and strategy to become a leading player in this sector”.

Perigord employees participated in the ‘Bray 10KM Cliff Run’

Thursday, April 13, 2017

On Saturday, April 1st, Perigord employees participated in the 'Bray 10KM Cliff Run'. This outdoor activity started in Greystones, and took us across the breath-taking cliff route to Bray.

Some weeks before the event, we had an informative and practical session offered by personal trainer Aaron Horan, who shared his experience and best practices to help us in our preparation.

The run was a huge success, and not only a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our team spirit and bring back more positive energy to our office, but a chance to raise funds that will be donated to a preferred charity at the end of this year. Perigord is known for organising different activities throughout the year to raise fund for charities.

Big thank you to all who took part in making 'Bray 10KM Cliff Run' another successful day out for Perigord! We are very proud of your achievement!

This important event brought together pharma industry thought-leaders and specialists from companies across the globe to explore the emerging challenges and regulatory trends through presentations, discussions and networking. This year, the key topics of the conference were:

  • Developing an agile and actionable labelling strategy to prepare for the regulatory changes and the evolving industry requirements.
  • Creating a robust end-to-end tracking system to centralise labelling.
  • Comparing and contrasting pharma and medical device labelling to maximise efficiency across industries.
  • Incorporating human factor data in the label to improve product literacy.

We are very proud of our Global Quality Director; Suzanne Ivory, who presented and shared her expert knowledge on solutions to optimise end-to-end artwork processes. As the challenge to provide adequate artwork becomes more complex and the need for artwork management systems becomes more critical, we believe that sharing our expertise will help pharmaceutical labelling leaders to find innovative solutions to these challenges.

This has been another successful year for the 'Annual Pharma Labeling Compliance Conference' and we are already looking forward to next year!
