Key Account Manager

Our creative and digital services divisions offer: B2B, B2C, B2E Market Research and customer identification, campaign strategy & management, creative initiation and delivery management of both offline and online collateral.

As a global leader in the provision of Life Science creative and digital solutions the company is expanding its Creative and Digital services division to service the needs of our customers.

Working directly with the creative teams the successful candidate will manage day to day customer interaction and drive margin-based revenue from the assigned customer base.

Reporting to the Head of Creative Services the Key Account Manager will work on building strong relationships with our customers, drive revenue, guarantee project delivery to the highest standards, ensuring our clients return again and again.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise and deliver margin-based revenue from assigned client base.
  • Taking a lead in client interaction and project delivery.
  • Leading a team to provide the best in class client service.
  • Project Management of Creative, Artwork requirements, ensuring all key dates in the project critical path are met.
  • Liaising with clients at senior level on a day to day basis.
  • Promoting the expansion of business within existing clients.
  • Working with other senior managers to generate new accounts.
  • Completing projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget.
  • Ability to influence clients and the business unit creatively and strategically.
  • Interpreting information correctly and creating accurate and thorough briefs for the Creative Team.
  • Invoicing for creative projects

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Significant experience in professional client relationship management.
  • A strong background in communications, design, marketing and print/media delivery.
  • Ability to plan and strategise at a senior level.
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Full awareness of creative processes and techniques, including digital platforms.
  • Effective team management capabilities.
  • A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience of creative project management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A design background or experience working within a design environment.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Technical knowledge of print and packaging an advantage.
  • Ability to coach/ mentor Account Executives
  • Marketing, communications, design or business degree and / or appropriate level of relevant experience

This is an office-based role, with time spent on briefings and in meetings, remaining in close contact with key clients. Ongoing travel will be required to facilitate client visits, new business presentations, planning and brief taking. The work commitment will tend to be our standard office hours, (8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.). However, in order to meet project and / or delivery deadlines or client demands, additional hours may be required to ensure continued best in class service to clients.
