Senior SQL Developer

The Role

The Senior SQL Developer will play a key role in the Engineering team that delivers next generation products within Perigord’s product offerings. The suitable candidate will work in product development which may include writing and managing all the database objects, working in the Projects team on the ETL/Data migration and Reporting projects, and help resolve any performance issues on Production environments.

Your Responsibilities:

Design, develop and implement of high-quality database objects and routines on SQL Server as part of the SDLC.
Manage the SQL Projects/DacPac of the product(s).
Manage the sanity and performance of different objects introduced per version.
Manage the SQL documentation per version.
Collaborate with Head of Engineering and Tech leads.
Produce and manage both out of the box reports and custom reports based on client-specific requirements.
Data migrations involving feed from excel or external DWH.
Data feed to external systems via SFTP or direct integrations.
Work closely with DBA and investigate performance issues in Production systems as needed.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including design documents, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline development workflows and increase team productivity.

Preferred Qualifications, Training and Experience:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
Minimum of 8 year’s experience in Database development including managing all the database objects.
3-4 years’ experience in SSIS or an ETL process with various data sources.
3-4 years’ experience on reporting using SSRS or any reporting tool.
Approx 1-2 years on resolving Production issues.
Experience working in an Agile set-up especially Scrum.
Experience with a No-SQL database will be a plus.

Perigord announces the release of GLAMS 5.0 , the latest update to its industry-leading AMS platform. Developed to the specific needs of the Life Science industry, this latest release boasts an expanded suite of both new and improved features, as well as greatly improved performance.

Advanced search capabilities – Leveraging the power of OCR technology, the scope of GLAMS 5’s capabilities have increased massively, allowing users to search the text of supporting or approval documents. Searches have also been made faster and more intuitive, enhancing clients’ capacity to access artwork tasks quicker, create complex, ad hoc queries conveniently, and deliver even greater efficiency to the process.
Enhancements to integrated proofing and reporting tools – Clients can seamlessly integrate with the newest versions of InformaIT, GlobalVision, TVT and other leading comparison tools on the market as well as enjoying improvements to the GLAMS 3D visualisation functionality. These enhancements also provide customers with the added ability to autosave reports from third-party applications directly into GLAMS jobs.
Configurable document stamping – This extension to the existing GLAMS stamping functionality allows multiple approver stamps to be shown in a table on a separate page inserted into an approved artwork PDF. This improvement also allows for the inclusion of pagination on stamping activities, making quality assurance processes more configurable, more efficient, and providing greater traceability in offline, printed artwork and graphic files. Approver stamps are clearer and more easily located and viewed.
Extensive integration upgrades – Updates to the GLAMS API layer deliver improved connectivity to external systems and make GLAMS the most integration-ready AMS on the market. This will enable users to send and receive data from a variety of sources including ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, as well as Regulatory Information, Documents Management, Change Control, and PLM systems, unleashing a huge range of digital capabilities.
Multilingual versions – The GLAMS user interface can now be tailored to clients’ language preferences. Pre-configured, multi-lingual options now include Japanese and Mandarin, with the facility to add additional language packs as required.
Performance improvements – Perigord’s continued focus on under-the-hood investment has led to a raft of improvements that speed up the loading of data in grids and drop-down values, allowing for faster job scheduling, quicker search replies and more efficient data export. These performance improvements deliver quicker response times, enhancing the user experience.

Tech Mahindra acquires 70% equity stake to augment domain expertise in the global Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Life Science sectors

Dublin – March 15th, 2021: Perigord are happy to announce that Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting, and business re-engineering services and solutions have acquired a 70% stake in Perigord Life Science Solutions, a digital workflow and artwork, labelling and BPO services firm.

The strategic partnership will strengthen Tech Mahindra’s position as a leading digital transformation enabler in the artwork and packaging services space with an integrated platform and services portfolio. Additionally, Tech Mahindra will leverage Perigord’s expertise and offerings to extend capabilities towards delivering efficiency and automation levers, across sectors including consumer-packaged goods (CPG), medical devices and over the counter (OTC) products to enable growth and scalability in the future. Donnerstag, 28. November 2019. Perigord Life Science Solutions, ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Artwork- und Labelling Services für die Life-Science-Branche mit Hauptsitz in Irland, der kürzlich Waldkirch in Deutschland als Standort für sein viertes Global Centre of Creative and Packaging Excellence wählte, gab heute bekannt, dass für die kommenden Jahre eine erhöhte Präsenz in Waldkirch durch den Ausbau des Dienstleistungsportfolios geplant sei.

Dies wurde bei der Eröffnung des zweiten Büros von Enterprise Ireland in München bekannt gegeben, bei dem der stellvertretende Ministerpräsident von Bayern, Hubert Aiwanger, und die irische Ministerin für Handel, Gewerbe und Innovation, Heather Humphreys, anwesend waren. Enterprise Ireland ist die Handels- und Innovationsbehörde der irischen Regierung, die das Wachstum irischer Firmen in Deutschland fördert.

Durch das neue Global Centre of Creative and Packaging Excellence in Waldkirch soll der wachsende Kundenstamm von Perigord in der DACH-Region besser bedient werden. Um diesen Schritt zu vereinfachen, ging Perigord eine Partnerschaft mit Faller Packaging Germany ein, indem das Unternehmen die Anteilsmehrheit an dem Artwork-Unternehmen August Faller in Waldkirch übernahm.

Alan Leamy, CEO von Perigord Life Science Solutions, sagte Folgendes zu der Bekanntmachung: „Die Entscheidung, in diese Region und in dieses spezielle Unternehmen zu investieren, wurde nicht nur aufgrund der strategischen Lage von Waldkirch getroffen, sondern vor allem aufgrund der Fähigkeiten der Mitarbeiter vor Ort, der Unternehmens- und Managementkultur sowie des Fokus auf Innovationen, den Perigord teilt. Wir sind gespannt auf die Möglichkeiten, die diese Beteiligung mit sich bringt, und freuen uns darauf, unsere komplette Produktpalette vom Standort Waldkirch aus anzubieten und zu erweitern. Perigord plant, nach Abschluss des Geschäfts weiterhin in das Unternehmen in Waldkirch zu investieren und sowohl die Präsenz als auch die Anzahl an Mitarbeitern in den kommenden Jahren zu erhöhen.“

Des Weiteren erklärte Dr. Daniel Deesman, geschäftsführender Gesellschafter von Faller: „Die Geschäftsführung und die Anteilseigner von Faller freuen sich sehr über dieses Joint Venture mit Perigord. Eddie Goodwin, Manager bei Enterprise Ireland Germany, äußerte sich ebenfalls positiv über die Bekanntmachung: „In Deutschland konzentriert sich Enterprise Ireland auf das Wachstum irischer Firmen auf dem Markt sowie auf den Aufbau von Partnerschaften und die Bereitstellung von Lösungen für deutsche Partner. Dies hat einen positiven Einfluss auf die Beschäftigung: 15.000 Menschen sind deutschlandweit bei irischen Unternehmen angestellt. Die Investition in ein Global Centre in Waldkirch sowie die Wachstumspläne von Perigord für die kommenden Jahre werden von uns begrüßt und zeigen den zunehmenden Einfluss irischer Firmen auf das Unternehmenswachstum in Deutschland. Am 1. Dezember wird Faller Perigord offiziell in Perigord Life Science Solutions umbenannt werden.

Thursday, 28th November 2019: Perigord Life Science Solutions, the Irish headquartered and global leader in the provision of creative and packaging artwork solutions to the Life Science industry who has recently selected Waldkirch, Germany for the establishment of their 4th Global Centre of Creative and Packaging excellence, today announced that they plan to significantly grow their headcount and footprint in Waldkirch over the coming years.

The announcement was made at the opening of Enterprise Ireland’s second office in Germany, located in Munich attended by Bavaria’s Deputy Prime Minister Hubert Aiwanger and Ireland’s Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys. Enterprise Ireland is the Irish Government’s trade and innovation agency, which supports the growth of Irish companies in Germany.

Perigord’s new Global Centre of Creative and Packaging Excellence in Waldkirch, Germany will serve and support the company’s expanding global client base across the DACH region. To facilitate this move, Perigord partnered with Faller Packaging Germany acquiring a majority stake in the August Faller artwork business in Waldkirch.

Commenting on the announcement, Alan Leamy, CEO of Perigord Life Science Solutions said: “The decision to invest in the region and in particular this business was based not only on the Waldkirch‘s strategic location but more so on the Waldkirch team‘s complementary skill set, culture, management vision and focus on innovation that matched that of Perigord. We are very excited about the opportunity this investment brings and look forward to expanding and delivering our full product offering from the Waldkirch site. Following the completion of this deal, Perigord plans to continue its investment in the Waldkirch business and growing its headcount and footprint over the coming years.“

In addition, Dr. Daniel Keesman, President & Executive Managing Partner Faller Packaging: stated “The Faller management and shareholders are excited to have entered this joint venture with Perigord. We believe the management expertise, domain knowledge and digital technology Perigord brings to the Waldkirch site will be major drivers in the continued growth of the business. Faller is delighted to remain as shareholders and to be part of the continued success of this business now to be known as Perigord Life Science Solutions.”

Welcoming this announcement, Eddie Goodwin, Director of Enterprise Ireland Germany, said: “In Germany, Enterprise Ireland focuses on the growth of Irish companies in the market, forging partnerships and delivering solutions to German partners. This positively impacts on employment figures with 15,000 people employed by Irish companies in Germany. Perigord’s investment in a Global Centre in Waldkirch and plans to grow its headcount over the coming years is very much welcomed, and reflects Irish companies‘ increasing focus on business growth in Germany. Enterprise Ireland’s new office in Munich will be central to this business growth and deepening business relationships between Irish and Germany companies in Munich and the Southern German region.

Faller Perigord will be formally rebranded as Perigord Life Science Solutions from 1st December.
