Perigord has officially launched the latest release of their proprietary innovative software, GLAMS (Global Artwork Management System).  GLAMS 4,  a configurable Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, presents a comprehensive artwork lifecycle management offering, coupled with fully integrated web forms and Business Intelligence Reporting capabilities.

Giving all stakeholders and customers in the artwork management process full control, by linking them through automatic emails and alerts, GLAMS 4’s end-to-end digital workflow allows customers to intelligently search and quickly distribute their artwork assets.

Perigord build platform for global growth with significant investment from BDO Development Capital Fund

Dublin, Ireland, 12 February 2016.

Perigord, a leader in the European life science packaging artwork management sector, today announced it has secured a development capital investment from the BDO Development Capital Fund to accelerate the company’s global expansion.  With the life sciences sector now facing post patent cliff complexities (including unprecedented M&A activity, generic drug proliferation and product serialisation to combat counterfeiting) the pharma packaging sector will witness significant growth in the coming 5 year period.

Employing over 100 people, Perigord is aiming to lead new developments in the sector.  From its base in Dublin, which services the European market, Perigord plans to upgrade and open the new hubs in America, Asia and Latin America.  This world-wide footprint will facilitate the creation of a global platform to service the life sciences sector and deliver true global solutions. 

The funding for Perigord was secured from the BDO Development Capital Fund, a fund supported by Enterprise Ireland (an Irish Government Agency), Bank of Ireland and leading Irish Corporates CRH, Glanbia and Glen Dimplex. The Fund invests development and growth capital in ambitious companies to support their export growth plans. The funding will be used to build out Perigord’s global network and respond to existing demand to provide artwork solutions under global supply agreements.

Perigord has a clear plan to realise its ambition to globalise the company and achieve a dominant market share in the highly regulated sector in which it operates.  Competing against multinational competitors, Perigord has successfully built strong relationships with many of the world’s leading global pharmaceutical businesses and the company’s sole focus on the pharma and life sciences industry has enabled it to achieve a compelling competitive market position.

Perigord appoints ex Astron CEO as Chairman

Dublin, Ireland. 31-October-2014. Perigord Premedia, a leader in the delivery of outsourced artwork packaging solutions for life science industries has appointed David Mitchell as its non-executive chairman effective from 31-October-2014.

Mr Mitchell founded Astron, a provider of document management solutions and associated business process outsourcing services in 1996, following a management buyout of three print related businesses. He oversaw the dynamic and robust growth of this business leading to its sale to RR Donnelley, the world’s largest print group in 2005 for US $1 Billion. Mr Mitchell is currently a director of UK venture capital firm, 24 Haymarket Limited.

Ireland’s Perigord Group first to achieve new quality standard

Perigord Group, a global artwork production agency has become the first company in Europe to be certified to PS 9000:2011 for software design and development.  

Dublin, Ireland, 31 July 2012. Perigord Group, a global artwork production agency has become the first company in Europe to be certified to PS 9000:2011 for software design and development. PS9000:2011 has been developed by the Pharmaceutical Quality Group for suppliers of packaging materials and origination/artwork to the pharmaceutical industry.

In addition to software design and development, Perigord’s PS9000:2011 accreditation also covers artwork services, lithographic and digital printing and direct mailing enabling them to offer a unique combined service package to the sector.

According to group’s quality manager Suzanne Ivory, ‘the introduction of artwork management software solutions coupled with innovative artwork services has been a game changer for the pharmaceutical & healthcare industry.
