Perigord und August Faller gründen Joint Venture für Artwork von Verpackungen und Etiketten

März 2019, Waldkirch. Der deutsche Verpackungs-Hersteller August Faller und die Perigord Premedia Ltd. machen gemeinsame Sache: Der irische Anbieter von Artwork-Lösungen für die Life-Science-Branche übernimmt mit sofortiger Wirkung die Anteilsmehrheit an der Tochtergesellschaft August Faller Artwork Solutions (AFAS). Durch das Joint Venture möchten beide Unternehmen neue Märkte erschließen, ihr Portfolio erweitern und vorhandene Kompetenzen bündeln.

Perigord ist Marktführer für Etikettierungs- und Artwork-Management-Leistungen für die Pharmaindustrie. Das Unternehmen mit Sitz in Dublin ist bereits in den USA, Irland und Asien vertreten – durch das Joint Venture mit August Faller soll nun der Schritt auf das europäische Festland gelingen. „Wir hatten bereits seit einiger Zeit nach einer Möglichkeit zum Ausbau unserer Präsenz in Europa gesucht, um unsere Kunden in aller Welt besser bedienen zu können“, erklärt CEO Alan Leamy. „Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit der Faller Group haben wir nun einen zentralen Standpunkt in Europa, von dem aus wir unsere Kunden auf den lokalen Märkten besser unterstützen können. Darüber hinaus verfügen wir damit über eine Plattform für den Ausbau unseres Geschäfts und unseres Marktanteils in der DACH-Region, in der besonders viele europäische Life-Science-Unternehmen ansässig sind.“

Perigord acquires majority shareholding in August Faller Artwork Solutions (AFAS) GmbH




March 2019 – Global Life Science artwork solutions provider Perigord and the Faller Group announce entering a joint venture, with Perigord acquiring a majority stake in August Faller Artwork Solutions (AFAS) GmbH. Perigord – headquartered in Dublin, Ireland – is the market leader in providing labelling and artwork management services to the Life Science Industry. This joint venture complements and enhances both Perigord and AFAS’s overall market offerings.

The companies’ joint product portfolio of packaging/labelling artwork management services, outsourced solutions, and dedicated digital applications has been designed specifically to deliver greater customer value and increased speed to market for clients.

Both Perigord and Faller had been looking to expand in the DACH region for some time but had been waiting for the right opportunity to arise. The cultural and quality alignment of Perigord and Faller has been key in achieving this goal.

Perigord adds €3m in funding to continue GLAMS success

Investment will be used to facilitate rapid international growth of their software product, GLAMS (Global Artwork Management System)

Dublin, Ireland, August 10th, 2017. Perigord, a Dublin based company specialised in artwork solutions for the pharma and life science industries, recorded 100% growth last year in its software division. In 2017, the company is on track to exceed this figure and the BDO Development Capital Fund supports this growth with an investment of €3 million. This will bring the total investment to €5.4 million, since the first input made by the Fund in February 2016.

With two complementary divisions and a global office network in Europe, USA and Asia, Perigord will use the investment to facilitate international growth of their software product, GLAMS (Global Artwork Management System), as well as continue their supply of precision global artwork services to pharmaceutical and life science companies worldwide.

Alan Leamy, CEO of Perigord, has ambitious plans for scaling the business and the recent investment will help the company to realise these goals. Perigord’s latest software is setting the global standard for management of artwork in the heavily regulated pharma and life science sectors.

Perigord currently have over 250 staff worldwide with centres in Europe, Asia and the USA, and their customer base has expanded to include nine of the world's top ten pharmaceutical companies.

Perigord employees participated in the ‘Bray 10KM Cliff Run’

On Saturday, April 1st, Perigord employees participated in the 'Bray 10KM Cliff Run'. This outdoor activity started in Greystones, and took us across the breath-taking cliff route to Bray.

Some weeks before the event, we had an informative and practical session offered by personal trainer Aaron Horan, who shared his experience and best practices to help us in our preparation.

The run was a huge success, and not only a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our team spirit and bring back more positive energy to our office, but a chance to raise funds that will be donated to a preferred charity at the end of this year. Perigord is known for organising different activities throughout the year to raise fund for charities.

Big thank you to all who took part in making 'Bray 10KM Cliff Run' another successful day out for Perigord! We are very proud of your achievement!

Perigord sponsored and attended the '5th Annual Pharma Labeling Compliance Conference' on March 29-30, 2017 in Boston, USA.

This important event brought together pharma industry thought-leaders and specialists from companies across the globe to explore the emerging challenges and regulatory trends through presentations, discussions and networking. This year, the key topics of the conference were:


  • Developing an agile and actionable labelling strategy to prepare for the regulatory changes and the evolving industry requirements.
  • Creating a robust end-to-end tracking system to centralise labelling.
  • Comparing and contrasting pharma and medical device labelling to maximise efficiency across industries.
  • Incorporating human factor data in the label to improve product literacy.

We are very proud of our Global Quality Director; Suzanne Ivory, who presented and shared her expert knowledge on solutions to optimise end-to-end artwork processes. As the challenge to provide adequate artwork becomes more complex and the need for artwork management systems becomes more critical, we believe that sharing our expertise will help pharmaceutical labelling leaders to find innovative solutions to these challenges.
