The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will primarily focus on managing day-to-day infrastructure operations and strategically plan for future enhancements.

The Engineer will also play a key role in leading IT projects in collaboration with our dedicated Global IT Team. Additionally, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with the security team to ensure that infrastructure solutions are aligned with security best practices. This position reports to the Global Head of IT. 

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the organization's infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance while overseeing setup and operations.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of infrastructure-related issues, addressing concerns in areas such as servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Plan and execute capacity upgrades to accommodate the organization's growth and evolving technological demands, with direct responsibility for setup and operations.
• Refine and document operational processes related to infrastructure management for improved efficiency, overseeing their implementation and execution.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support for Technical Services during critical infrastructure incidents, taking charge of the resolution process and ensuring smooth operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine and meet project timelines for infrastructure initiatives.
• Support data centre operations, ensuring the availability and performance of critical infrastructure components while directly overseeing setup and operations.
• Develop and enforce architectural standards for infrastructure components.
• Design and implement major infrastructure projects aligned with organizational goals.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Identify areas of improvement, analyse, and monitor risks related to infrastructure technologies, providing proactive solutions, overseeing their implementation, and suggesting changes and improvements.
• Participate in IT audit and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Collaborate with and provide guidance to the existing infrastructure team based in India on IT infrastructure projects.
  

Preferred Qualifications, Training and Experience:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
• Expertise in server administration, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies with mandatory experience in Hyper-V and VMware.
• Proven ability to design and manage reliable, large-scale infrastructure architectures.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure services and technologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks and standards.
• Certifications such as MCSE, VCP, or relevant cloud certifications are a plus.
• Excellent technical writing and interpersonal communication skills.
• Expertise in automation and orchestration tools for infrastructure management an advantage.
• DevOps knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience with network infrastructure and security principles.
• Proven experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices for IT service management.
• Natural orientation toward knowledge-sharing and collaborative problem-solving.
• Highly self-motivated and self-directed with a proactive approach to infrastructure challenges.
• Professional, dependable, and supportive, even in high-pressure situations or under tight timelines.
